Wow, you guys rock! That 70's Crop yesterday was so much fun (loved the costumes!) Thank you everyone for your understanding with the changed class schedules and schedule. Here are a few of the costumes from yesterday
It was great to see so many people creating pages that tell the story of life. And it was so great to see Tim join in all the fun. I wish more men would scrapbook. Men have wonderful stories to tell also. Encourage the men in your life to try. They don't have to scrapbook crafty (though many will), just combine their photos and stories and it will be meaningful and from a different perspective than you may have.
All the page showing entries were beautiful and you should be proud. Remember, scrapbooking is not an Olympic event, and there is no Gold medal judge that you need to impress. Do it in your style, in your way and it will be awesome! Your family and friends will love it.
Drum roll tally......300 pairs of shoes collected to send to the kids in El Salvador who have no shoes!!!!! Absolutely amazing! I was hoping for 100 pairs. I should know better, scrappers are such generous people. Thank you thank you thank you thank you! Every time I think of your generosity it brings tears of joy to my eyes. This will make such a difference in the lives of 300 children who will no longer have to run around bare feet in broken glass, tree roots and animal wastes! Feel good knowing you are making a difference in the world. The shoes are being sent this summer, so if you'd like to donate some new shoes, bring them to PE and we will make sure they get there.
And this is of course on top of the 100's of lbs of food collected to give to the food bank. Again, this will
make such a difference. I am so proud to know all of you.
And thank you so much Debbie for the beautiful flowers. That was such a thoughtful thing to do and very appreciated.
Congratulations to all of the prize winners. Here are the happy semi grand and grand prize winners
Thank you to Kah Mei from Fontwerks for her beautiful class and Deanna from In
the Making for showing off her amazing glitter techniques. Everyone enjoyed you both very much.
And last but definitely not least, THANK YOU to everyone (staff, family, friends) who helped organize this crop. An event this size doesn't get accomplished without a lot of help! Watch for an email tomorrow with the link to the photos taken at the event.
Can't wait for next year!

ps And just got an update from Renee. Her niece had the second surgery today that they thought they would do in a week or so. It was necessary to rush it today as they were worried about her making it. She pulled through and is expected to have a full recovery. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!
Update: Gary's baby Jake is home and doing better though still on watch. If you are the praying type, keep him in your prayers.
