You will notice a theme running through the store, and my emails, and the blog...of the importance of getting "something" done. Even if you get just one "thing" done, that is more than most people and will be cherished and treasured. Many of you have heard me tell the story of my dear friend Kristi who lost her mom a few years ago to carbon monoxide poisoning (PLEASE make sure you have a WORKING PLUGGED in detector in your house!). Something she said to me last summer, totally tore at my heart...
"My mom ACCIDENTALLY" took all my memories with her". Wow.
I have made it my mission (and I know she has also) to make sure that as many people as possible get at least one thing done. It doesn't have to be fancy, it doesn't have to be creative, it just needs to be done. As Kristi said, her mom always thought they'd have time when she retired to go through the rubbermaid containers and reminisce together and create some albums. She never got that chance and Kristi would give anything for just one thing - one letter, one page, one little album - just something. I am not saying that to be morbid, but each of us will one day no longer be here to tell our story. Think about how much it would mean to you to have one album created by a friend or relative.
At PE, we are going to help you get your "something" or "somethings" done. That is why you can take a number of FREE classes to help you figure out what to do, and the store is being rearranged to make it even easier for you to shop. You will also start seeing our custom "Getting It Done Kits" where everything is co-ordinated and pulled together for you to create, and the return of our "Album In a Day" Classes to help you accomplish lots in a little time. And once you see how easy it is to get "one thing" done, then you can do a second thing and maybe even a third thing.
In August there are 2 Album in A Day Classes to choose from. Everything is designed and cut and prepped ready for you to create an entire album in a few hours! Woohooo is all I can say! So join us for one or both of these classes, and if you can't make the times, the classes are also designed to be purchased as a kit - everything is cut and ready to go with full instructions and pictures of what to do. So make it in the store, or make it at home - just get it done! And watch for more album in a day classes to come. (If there are special themes you'd like, let us know and if there is enough interest, we'll do it).

What a brilliant and "do-able" way to preserve and share those memories. Don't let your photos sit in boxes or hide on your hard drive - let's get them scrapbooked! Doreen has designed 10 beautiful, unique layouts using Chatterbox papers and QuicKutz die cuts - you're gonna love them! Busy Moms Get It Done! First 10 Birthdays Album ($75, 3 hours)

The girl who created the “Cute As A Button” classes years ago, now brings you “Busy Moms Get It Done!” Classes. If you are a new mom or just a very busy mom, this class is for you! Before those pictures start to pile up on you, get ahead of the program and create a lovely and simple album that will store the treasured memories for the first TEN birthdays of your child. Whether your child is in your belly, two years old, or ten, you will be so glad to have this album done. All you have to do then is slap on the pictures after each birthday goes by! Truly a lifesaver! Who says that your second or third child can’t have a scrapbook too! You will make TEN double page spreads using adorable Basic Grey "Oh Baby!" papers, stickers, tags and ribbon. You will even get a coupon for 30% off an album to use that day to store all your beautiful pages! (Please note that no other discounts apply to the album).
