New Stamps, Valentines and more grab bags!

More grab bags have hit the floor - we can't make them fast enough! Comments like, wow, I got an album, I got a whole paint set, I got a whole paper pad are being heard and these things are ontop of the stickers, papers etc in each bag.  At $5 they are a steal!

Lots of new Valentines has hit the floor. I tried to stick to a good majority of the items not being too Valentiney so that you could use it for more than just Valentine's Day.

Creative Corner with Kerry - Using premade pieces for quick layouts

Kerry did up this super cute layout using My Mind's Eye (you'll find everything for this layout all in one display at the store so it is easy to recreate!) All the premade pieces and title make this layout a snap to go together.

Are you Taking the Basic Grey Page of the Month Class?

We just got our boxes of products in (they look yummy!) and the instructions for the pages.

The first month is "10 Favourites"

There is a list of supplies you will need to bring with you:

charcoal ink (they suggest chalk ink but any ink will work - I'm using a dye ink)
black journaling pen (and don't even THINK you are going to get away without journaling!!! lol)
1" circle punch (we will have a few of these out to share)
large scalloped scissors (we will have out the Revolution with scalloped border)
foam dots/ glue dots
straight edge scissors
paper trimmer
craft knife and sharp blade, cutting surface (to cut the butterflies from the paper)
adhesives
pencil

You can add your photos later or bring them if you would like: (mostly b&w - she printed the ones that matched the paper in colour)

1 photo 7.5"x6.5" horizontal
9 photos 3.5"x2/5" horizontal

This is going to be such a fun class!  Just imagine the very cool album we will have done by the end of the year.  I don't have many layouts of myself so this will be a great way to get them done and I know my family and grandkids will treasure it.

Here is her story she emailed us today...

As promised - here is the photo of the project that I submitted to the Quickutz "Deck the Halls" contest.  The story behind this design is that I had one square left on my QK passport in order to complete it - the "mini book". (Edited addition by Michele - see this is why I put in the making stuff - so you use your QK! lol)   I bought the "Jolly" holiday set........this is what happened....I got the stamp and.......

  I have been chosen as one of the 10 finalists in the contest and to my delight - earlier today the project was in 2nd place - I'm dreaming of a Silhouette!! 

  This is one more reason to complete your passport!!!   

 

The project is titled "My Jolly Grandchildren" and my account name is MissusB.   If you go to the Community Gallery  type in "My Jolly Grandchildren" in the search box on the left-hand side of the page - it will take you to the project right away.     How exciting just to be chosen - but........that shiny new Sillouette looks so pretty...  (Edited addition by Michele or click on the link in the first paragraph)
