To A Child Love is Spelled Time

A friend passed along this video to me.  (Thanks Dorota) It has an underlying theme of preserving our memories and an even more important theme of how "time" is so important to our loved ones.  See it here: To A Child Love is Spelled Time

You may remember at the beginning of the year, that I had set a "schedule" for myself to try and keep work hours and home hours separated a bit more.  There is always so much to be done for work, and since I do a lot of it from home, it tends to spill into family time.  I'm happy to report, that while it still creeps in sometimes, that I am making more of a balance in my life.  I thoroughly enjoy being with my husband and daughters and even just sitting and talking is fun.  Since tomorrow we are closed for inventory and it will be a looooong day, tonight I am actually going to sit still on the couch for a whole movie! and eat popcorn with my kids.  Will be fun.  And while there is a ton of housework to do, work to do, and volunteer things to do, it can all wait.  I know that so very soon, they won't be home on a Saturday night to sit and watch a movie with mom.

Go hug someone you love and spend some time with them!

Crew party

  I just wanted to thank all of you who came out last night to our special Crew party.  I had a great time seeing everyone.  It was so nice to hear how becoming a member of the PE QuicKutz Crew has made you more organized and that you are using your QuicKutz way more and scrapbooking more.  That makes my heart smile!

We were so busy and having so much fun, that we completely forgot to take photos of the event.  We got one at the end of the night as the last project was being finished.  This was one of the stations we had set up throughout the store last night.  And thank you everyone for your patience as the till lines were quite long.

A big thanks to Jo for designing the 3 fantastic projects for last night and to all the staff for die cutting and die cutting and die cutting all those pieces for your kits!

Since I don't have any photos to show you how much fun we had last night, I'll share the projects with you that the Crew members got to create.  (This way if you have to pick up your kit or if we are sending it to you, you also get a sneak peak at what is coming.)  This party was a free event for Crew Members, so if you'd like to be part of the Crew, sign up today. 12x12 layout , mini book from the Revolution , and a cute card.  When Jo showed me the card I was trying to figure out what Revolution die the flower was from...She used the ears from the peek-a-boo bunny die - brilliant.  Here are a couple more ideas using the peek-a-boo bunny that were on the inspiration sheets for the crew members.

For those of you who attended last night, this is a taste of what will be happening at the Soiree in June.  So don't forget to bring your passports with you when you come shopping at PE.

If you are in a scrapbooking slump, an idea book is a great place to start.  Flip it open, find a layout you like and copy it - "scraplifting" is perfectly legal (as long as if you submit it somewhere, you give the original creator credit) and encouraged.  Often all you need is a starting place - once you have a plan, the creating goes much easier.  Sometimes the finished product will look like the layout you started from, sometimes it will look completely different.  Both are great! Western Roundup crop tickets left

The inventory sale continues and I said I'd let you know the day before, what will be on sale.  Sunday  Feb 18th only is:
