We hosted 52 people for dinner over 3 days this Christmas. Boy was it exhausting but so much fun to share with friends and family. I figured once I had the big tables all set up and all the fancy stuff out, I might as well make the most of it! Thoroughly enjoyed it and have so much leftovers. If you are looking for a Butternut Squash Soup recipe, try this one from the Domestic Goddess . I googled it and was brave enough to try it for the first time on Christmas day. It got rave reviews and was quite simple.
These cute little Christmas tree "favours" were very easy to make. I used specialty gold paper and the "cake" die cut for our accucut machine. Instead of laying it flat like a cake piece, I stood it up to be a Christmas tree. My girls decorated them with Heidi Swapp bling and a star sticker from Sandylion and then we filled them with chocolate. They were a big hit and easy to make. You will find lots of 3D die cuts at PE that are perfect for party favours.
