Here is a great layout from Renee showing how to get many photos onto a layout. And she shares her instructions below...
"Have you ever wanted to include many photos on a layout, but don't want
to crop any of them very much? I've been able to get around this
dilemma by creating mini books right on my layouts. Start by choosing 3
or 4 photos of the same orientation (horizontal or vertical) and cutting
equal mats for each of them. Then cut 2 strips of matching cardstock,
each 3/4" x 3".
Continue by attaching one strip of cardstock to the
back of the photo that will be the "last page" of you mini book (on the
top for horizontal photos, the left side for vertical photos). Leave
about half of the strip sticking out above the matted photo (to the left
for vertical photos). Repeat for the second strip. Next lay your
"second page" photo upside-down and face-down 9for horizontal photos -
or simply face-down for vertical photos) on your "last page" photo (you
will want this photo to appear right-side-up when you flip it on the
hinges). Fold and attach the two strips of cardstock the back of this
photo. Last, put lots of adhesive on the back of your remaining matted
photo and attach it to the back of the "second page" photo. Attach a
tab (I used a QuicKutz tab die) to one edge of the top photo to ease in
lifting to reveal the other photos. You can now attach your mini book
directly to your layout, or to a larger mat first. I was able to
include 12-4x6 photos, 1-5x7, plus a couple of wallet sized photos to my
"Pumpkins" layout by using 3 mini books! You can make thicker mini
books by using more cardstock hinges to create more pages for your
little books. Hint: it's best to stagger the hinges on mini books
containing more than 2 pages. Happy scrapping!"
