I LOVE the colours in the new Just Dreamy line from My Mind's Eye designed by our very own Christy Lyle and also Zoe Pearn. I was joking with Christy that instead of a book signing, we should do a paper signing. Wouldn't that be fun! Christy has graciously donated each one of these papers and button sets to be given as a prize at our 70's crop. Oh oh oh, Mr Kotta, Mr Kotta, pick me, pick me! (Okay those of you who weren't around in the 70's probably won't get that line.)
There is also new Wild Asparagus - the photos don't even remotely do these papers justice. You have to come in and see them. Here are just a couple of samples.
And last but not least is 20th Street Market again you have to touch and feel these papers. My Mind's Eye has done a superb job. Here are a couple of samples also.

Well, our brand new, 42" wide Grand Format printer is up and running, and our first big task was to outfit the walls of the newly renovated club house at the Maple Ridge Golf Course, a local institution. This was a real treat as this is the course where I learned to play golf (and my dad Marcel did too!).
We printed up four HUGE prints, each 52 inches by 40 inches, and custom framed them. Joe from the golf course is pictured below with the final results, beautiful B&W images from the past 75 years to which we added sepia tones, borders and captions. The images were courtesy of the Maple Ridge Museum. Be sure to check them out next time you are in the club house!

Here is an exciting look at a "doable/keepupable" method of scrapbooking. When Kate and I saw this at a trade show last year we were both very excited. Two companies have scrapbooks that work really well for this as they have the 4x6 pages that match the 12x12 pages - We R Memory Keepers - currently in the store and Pebbles Inc - arriving in April sometime. Between this method and the book Photo Freedom, I am excited about the possibility of recording what is most important in a way that fits my hectic lifestyle!

"I'm so excited! I've changed how I'm scrapbooking and I want to tell you all about it! Actually, if you've been in the store in the last couple of weeks, I've probably already chatted your ear off about it, as I can't seem to stop talking about it!
I've switched from double page layouts to single page layouts. Seems rather irrelevant, doesn't it? But wait - there's more! Not only am I scrapbooking single pages, but I'm storing my extra photos with my layouts. That's right! I've amalgamated my layouts with my photo storage and I'm absolutely revved up about it! Take a look:
This is a 3-ring scrapbook from We R Memory Keepers. You can see my single page layout on the left. But on the right is the most exciting part! It's a 4x6 storage sleeve for all your extra photos. So I've scrapbooked my favorite 3 photos on the left, which is the most I ever have from any given photo op, and I've stored all the extra pics from this particular event in the pockets on the right. I no longer have to come up with a double page spread. I love to scraplift from various magazines, but most of their layouts are single pages and I have to come up with a second page. But no more! Now I scrapbook the one page, and store the photos in a pocket page beside it. I absolutely love this! Here's a couple of other pages that I just put in my new book:
I have always been drawn to single page layouts, but have always scrapbooked double page layouts because I preferred the way they looked in my albums. There was something 'messy' or 'chaotic' about one single page layout being right beside another one, especially if they were of a different theme or color scheme. I know, I know, my perfectionistic tendencies are alive and well :-) But that's simply how I feel. And what about all the leftover photos that I didn't scrapbook? They needed a separate home for storage.
Not anymore!! Now I can create a single page, focusing in on my favorite photo of that event, and then store the remaining photos right there beside it. So simple! And for events that don't inspire me to scrapbook, I can just store the photos in the sleeves, inserting a 4x6 journaling or title block into one or two of the spots, just so the information and memories are recorded. Simple, simple, simple! And as far as I'm concerned, this is do-able. This is something I can manage and keep up with, which has become very important in my often too busy life."

We R Memory Keepers “Foil/Glitter/Flock”
I’ll admit it … I’m a bit of a rub-on fanatic. But I am particular … I don’t want to end up with a dent in my cardstock, due to the effort required to apply them. I want them to slide on like butter, so I was a little concerned how it was going to work with the flocking and glitter portions of the kit. No need.
As with any other rub-on, it’s essential that you cut out around your chosen word/picture from the sheet. I basically cut out the rub-ons that matched those patterns used in the paper and applied them directly over top. Then, I either flocked, glittered, or foiled them over top.
All in all, I would
definitely use this product again. The
colour & texture of the flocking and glitter especially, added a subtle
dimension to my cards that was interesting, appealing, easy to do and very
effective.

Tilano Fresco now has Free Mothers Day templates online. The templates are free, easy to use, and help turn any work of art into a total masterpiece. You will find the products at PE and we can also do the copying to the transfer paper for you as well.

While the results are stunning and look very difficult, if you can hold a paint brush and "swoosh" your hand back and forth, you can "Tilano".

Kate has been exploring the wonderful world of digital scrapbooking and is having a great time! What she loves most about it is the versatility that it offers. When she has time to play and try new things, digital scrapbooking really has no limits to what it can do. But when she's short for time and simply wants to preserve her memories, the digi world also offers some quick, simple solutions. Here are some of those 'short-for-time', 'just-need-to-get-it-done' solutions.
Memory Mixer is a user friendly, yet powerful program that allows you to create digital scrapbook layouts as well as photobooks. (As easy as selecting a group of photos and saying create me a book! It does the rest!) Not only does it come with all the papers and embellishments you need to create your own pages, it also comes with some pre-made pages or page templates that allow you to simply drop in your photos, add some text....and you're done! Here are 3 pre-made pages that Kate used in Memory Mixer (the first 2) and from a Beginner Digital Scrapbook Memories CD (the last one). It literally takes a few minutes and then have them printed at Photo Express. The great thing is you can print multiple sizes and copies from the same layout!
She simply inserted her photos, added some simple journaling, and her
pages were done. This is a great way to delve into the digi world, as
it's super easy and rewards you with quick accomplishments. For those
of you who aren't new to the digi world will benefit from these
pre-made pages as they'll allow you to get caught up on all the digital
photos that you have waiting to be printed! Not every page needs to be
a one-of-a-kind masterpiece - but they do need to get
done so that your memories are preserved.
We also carry a line of digital scrapbooking cd's from Digital Scrapbook Memories. Here are some pre-made pages that Kate used from those cd's:

It's easy to upload photos to Foto Depot, for free backup and sharing, editing and ordering. It's also easy to keep your photos in order, using the "Albums" feature. This video shows you how to move photos from one Album to another:
