Creative Corner with Michele - Party decorations

Do you have an Olympic Party planned at your house? Or perhaps you'd just like to get into the Olympic Spirit! Then check out this banner that Michele designed using the pennant die in our die cut centre!

Here's what you need:

• 10 pennant shapes (avail in PE's die cut center) cut from white and 10 pennant shapes cut from red
• 2 maple leaf shapes (avail in Pe's die cut center) cut from white and 2 cut from red
• "G-O C-A-N-A-D-A" cut out from the 3" alphabet at the die cut centre - one set in red and one set in white
• 3 metres of ribbon

Suggested Assembly:

• Using a strong double sided tape such as Sookwang, glue your pennant shapes back to back along the short side of the triangle only: white to white, red to red. You'll end up with a total of 10 double-sided pennants.
• Glue your letters on the pennants, both sides, spelling out "Go Canada", using red letters on white pennants and vice versa. You'll have 2 extra pennants which you'll put maple leafs on.
• Assemble your banner by hanging the pennant shapes over the 3m piece of ribbon. Hang wherever you'd like! If you'd like a more permanent banner, you can adhere the pennant shapes to the ribbon by sandwiching the ribbon in between the red & white pennant pieces when you glue them back to back and adhere adhesive along the full pennant edges.

Even though it's a simple process, we understand that the time issue is often a hurdle some of you. So Michele has made a few kits for this banner. All you need to do is assemble!
There is only a few left, so hurry in for yours.

You can also create invdividual pennant flags using the same concept, and using a chopstick or longer stick for the handle.

Take the party theme one step further, die cut some of the Maple leafs and attach them to napkin rings or your drink glasses, or scatter some on a table.
