What a fun line from Amy Tangerine for American Crafts. I absolutely love the Day Books, they are perfect for taking on a trip and putting in photos, ticket stubs and other memorabilia.  Or just use it for day to day. Give it to a friend or a teen and see what they do with it. They are just so cute! This line is so versatile for everything from everyday to travel, to work, to crafts to teens and so much more.

True Scrap 3

Lain (who does the LOAD challenges) sent me some info on her next event called True Scrap 3 April 20-21st. It is a multi-day online papercrafting event with a fabulous lineup of instructors. 15 instructors, virtual make and takes and tons of inspiration and fun right from your computer. (and even if you can't make it those days, you have eternal access to the class recordings.) More info will be coming and you can sign up for more info here.   I am clearing my calendar as much as possible for this weekend.

Photo Express Scrappin' Challenge:

To keep our scrappin' mojo going and to prepare for the Load challenge in May, we are going to send out a Page Challenge every newsletter for you. That means you have a whole 2 weeks to get the layout done!!!!! Anyone can do that :) Please take us up on the challenge and create a layout - if you don't want to do the prompt, that is totally okay, just create a layout of your choosing. Don't cheat yourself and do a layout you have already done. Create a new one. Tell a new story.

As an added incentive, bring in your layout to show us and fill out a ticket stub while you are at the store.  Over the next 3 months, March, April, and May (so that is 6 challenges), if you show us at least 5 of them, you can register for Free to come to a Saturday Crop at the end of May (first come first served of the people who have 5 tickets). That means you did at least 5 of the 6 challenges.  And you have a whole 2 weeks to do each one!  Let's get scrappin!!

March 1st - 15th Page Challenge : Hobbies Past or Present

I really liked this prompt in Load 212 (It was Hobbies Past). I chose to document my love of photography. I didn't have pictures of these cameras, but the internet does!  I did a quick digital layout that day, as I was really short on time, but I love the results.
So here is my layout for a bit of inspiration but do your own thing.  A hobby growing up, a hobby you do now, or a hobby you admire and would like to do.  Or do your own thing completely. Just do a layout in the next 2 weeks and show us.  Simple!

Guest Instructor coming to PE

  

Jennifer Edwardson is coming to PE Saturday April 28th for 2 very fun workshops. Registration starts now, and if you aren't able to make it to class, you can still sign up and receive the complete kit. Make sure to sign up early to avoid disappointment.

Hi there. My name is Jennifer Edwardson and I live in Parksville on Vancouver Island. I've been scrapbooking for a little more than 10 years and loving every minute of it. I have an extensive design and teaching background that has allowed me to share my creativity with many, from one on one classes to groups of up to (75) ladies at a time for (12) hour layout workshops too !! This workshop was designed to capture your favorite moments from a favorite trip while learning a few fun ways to change up and alter a mini album !!

We're using product from American Crafts Amy Tangerine.....you will love the fun colors and patterns of the paper, canvas stickers and chipboard Thickers too !!

This is not your ordinary altered mini album...so you will not want to miss this.

  

IMPORTANT: We are going to use photos in this workshop.  You will need to bring approx.. (35) photos to class.  You may use more or less but this will be a good start.  You may not finish using all your photos in class but will be able to start adhering several to your pages as we move through the project.

*** PLEASE HAVE YOUR PHOTOS IN ORDER OF USE PRIOR TO CLASS as this will help you to add as many as possible during the workshop :))

• EZ Runner (or your favorite double sided tape runner)
• 3D Foam
• Mini Glue Dots
• Corner Rounder
• Border Punches (there will be a few shared but bring along your faves)

• Precision Scissors (fine tip)
• Quick Dry Liquid Glue (Tombow is my fave)
• Your favorite twine, cord ect....

This is the perfect workshop to showcase all your favorite Easter and Spring themed photos and I can't wait to share my time with you.  Bella Blvd's "Spring Flings and Easter Things" is a beautiful and versatile collection and in this (4) Layout Workshop I'll take you through some of my favorite ways to use patterned paper, cardstock stickers and more......We'll cut and sand and punch our way through these layouts that will be ready for you to just add your photos and journaling !!  Each of these layouts can be easily turned into a double page layout.
