Catalog file stores path, name, and other details about imported files.
Bring the photos you have taken with your camera into Photoshop Elements. You can then organize them in many ways and make them look great. Photoshop Elements maintains information about imported photos in a catalog to help you find or organize them easily.

In the Organizer workspace, click Import and select From Camera or Card Reader.

In the Photo Downloader dialog box under Source, select where to copy/import from using the Get Photos From drop-down list.

Use default settings, or set the options in the Import Settings area.

Click Get Media.

Click OK in the Files Successfully Copied dialog box.
Note:
If Elements Organizer is launched while copying the photos, click Yes in the Files Successfully Copied box.
